i would like to know if anyone could explain how pure stock can have twice the cars and still cut the pay down two weeks ago #1 $200 #2 $100 #3 $50 this week #1 $150 #2 $75 #3 $50 at $30 per car $480 payout $335  ?? whats wrong here |

The problem is GREED. The track will never pay like it should. A friend of mine emailed them about the pay outs last year and they replied that they furnish us with a place to race, like we should be thankful they allow us to race there. In super pony Saturday night there was I believe 4 cars that started the heat but only one went out for the feature. He was paid $200.00. It will remain this way because there is no competition in the area. If the new track opens on 145 that could change.

yea this is not the first time they said it would be better this year but that is ever year goin to wait for new track will race green valley, talladega if i need to test will go back to scs

Well ya know this really is not the place for all that.But I do believe if you have a problem with the payout then take it up with someone other than Ed.He has no say in what goes on there.There is only one person that should be fussed at about the payout and I do believe everyone knows who that is.Until then it's not gonna get any better!

i feel like this is not the time or place to be talking about the pay; i understand you may be speaking how you feel. i myself do not think that you should down or complain about the track if you only come every so often and do not truly understand how a to run a business. if you have a problem with the pay, the only person that handles the pay is the owner of the track. with all the unnecessary rough driving by some people and incidents that happen in the pits that might have involved people we all know, then we would not have to have extra security in the pits. this might be something that everyone should think about. they have to pay security to be there including ambulance, etc. this is some of the reason for the extra money. maybe if you are into racing for just the money, you ought to try NASCAR. i do not care what you think, we all enjoyed the large crowd and the good racing that we had last weekend, it was a good show. it really bothers me to know that i bust my butt every weekend selling 50/50 for the drivers to hear a driver doing nothing but complain. if you were there more than a couple weekends per year i could maybe understand why you are complaining. i do listen to everything that the drivers have to say and report it to who ever it needs to be reported to, but only can help push a issue if you are there every weekend. i do not have to even report the grips or complaints, i pass it along to hope that everybody is heard. i guess the old saying you cant make everybody happy is so true. should you have any questions about what i have said, then please feel free to send me a private message and not air the laundry to god and everybody. well i was there ever weekend 4 alot of years and i do understand how things run but it can be better if not 4 the cars there would be no 1 in the stands if it is good to cut pay 4 more cars then u r right i dont need 2 pull 2 hours 2 race there i was out 4 a year 4 back surgery how easy they forget all the stuff someone has done 4 the track not in it 4 the money but would like 2 get a fair shake maybe all classes should run 4 free sorry that yall feel that a pay scale is 2 much 2 ask 4 but it would bring more cars easy fix i dont race there i dont complain

Yeah, and look how much pit entrance fee has gone up and the pay has not gone up.. same old crap from this track,,, glad i dont waste my time racing there anymore!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
by the way this is a dirt talk site, we have the right to say what we want...

I understand that you are there every weekend and or the one that said it's a dirt forum yeah it is but it's not for you to trash the track and yeah the pay is wrong so why complain on here when it's not getting anything accomplished!Shrek man,I know you used to race every weekend and things happened that you couldn't help but you know as well as I do who needs to be griped at about the pay.Like I said yeah it's wrong but nothing is going to get done about it until you fuss to the right ones.If enough drivers would complain to HER then she might do something! Dirttracker02 if your not racing there anymore why are you even on here talking about it!

Shrek01, what did James or Mrs Ethlen, give you for an answer about the payout? Did you ask them in person? I haven't heard anyone else complain on here, so they must have gotten it settled in person, insted of doing it on a forum. Unless your pourpose is to just run down the track. I know that at times there will be a racing fan or sponcer that will add money to the purse and special events that the track will post a larger purse.
The Ingrams work hard to give us a place to play, why complain about a couple of dollars. Get your car legal for the class you run and come on and play with us.

I understand how ya'll feel about the payout, but I know from Randall racing in Hoggs that there has been several times there has been 10 or more cars in the class and the pay never changed for first, but we are not there for the money so we do not complain, we are there to have a good time, and watch good racing. Also we have to pay for security and we use to not have to do that and we also have to pay for ambulance and those 2 things are not cheap. As far as the track opening on 145 I do not know if that will happen cause "Shelby County" does not want another dirt track in shelby county and i am not sure if it has even been approved through the county yet. i know that they have made a road for it but that is it, and you have to have a 4x4 to get to it.I also think they maybe if people would keep coming like it has been the last couple of times then the owners may go up on pay. But as far as pay goes just like Mr. Rat said they are some people who will sponsor certain classes for a bigger pay.I think if the pay is that big of deal than the ones who want to say something should all get together and go to the owners at one time and talk to them about it instead of getting on here complaining cause it goes no where on here you should go to the right people about it. I try to get along with everyone and try to handle anything I can or relay any request or complaints, so this is one reason why I am standing up for the track. I will do everything I can to make the drivers and fans happy. I know it may not matter but I would appreciate it that if you have a problem with something then you go to the right people and tell them how you feel or give suggestions, don't be scared, as many as of you who know's me I am that way, that if i have something to say or if I do not agree with you I will tell you. I pretty much like everyone but I do not like the fact that people can get on here and say things but yet will not speak how you feel when you get to the track, maybe if all you who have a problem will get together and go to the right people it might help solve something, going one at a time sometimes does not do the job. Hopefully everyone understands where I am coming from.

why be down on shrek? Hes a good person and a great driver. And most importantly he is correct. If it bothers you so very much to come to this site and read what drivers say then why come here? Or do something about it. This is where we the DRIVERS come to vent our frustrations and concerns. The pay should be more do some simple math. After pit pass prices and grand stand prices plus concession intake im sure the profit of the track owners has not decreased. Maybe the drivers wouldnt have such an issue with pay if the OWNERS would take some of that money and invest in a flag man that was competent a tech man to handle aforementioned ( said up above) issuses with the legality of someones race car set up a set of scales and maybe even a track official or two not a friend of the family or afraid to inforce the rules on EVERYONE then maybe the drivers could relax and just have a good time. its hard not to expect a pay out when you have to fix your car every weekend because the rules bend like the family tree. The flagman in the drivers meeting always says we are not putting up with rough driving why not just ad unless. I t also seems to me that if you walk around and listen to what everybody has to say and go "report" it then maybe you are more of the problem at this track than a solution thanks PAt

to start with i have went to them when they was payin 300 for 10 or more cars then the start of the next year they went back down to 150 for 10 cars when asked they said it was not advertised 300 for 10 cars and nothing was done as for trash talkin i was just askin if anyone could tell me because the owners cant give a strait answer if i lived 15 miles from the track the pay would not bother me that is not downing the track.MR.rat you know that i have always run the class i needed to be in that is why i told gary and james and a lot of other people that when i come back i will be in hobby was testing the car the motor is for green valley hobby class and the top four need to go up i am willin to do that.the reason i am on here is because i live 2 hours away can not talk to alot of the drivers in person why does ever one not like someone to tell the truth about things goin on if someone can give me all the drivers phone numbers then i can talk to them in person if what i said in the start of the post is wrong then i am sorry yall feel that way if everone would quit hiding what goes on then things would change all the drivers made a stand one time before and things did change as a matter of fact some on here was part of that stand but as long as they are people on here trying to stop the truth that is why it keeps goin on just like when 3 of us went to james about the ruff driving he said if we did not like it we could go race somewhere else so we did then was asked to come back that it would be diffrent it still went on that is why now no need to say anything just take care of it on the track nikki i know you know it does no good to go to the owners i like you and randall but the pay and the ruff driving are the same i have heard you say the track will do nothing about anything sometimes maybe its just the people that change instead of making change

There was nobody downing anybody.No the pay is not right I never said it was.And no I don't agree with alot of things they do.And yes for the drivers that live a good ways away it is rough sometimes to drive that far for so little pay.Personally I think they should have a set payscale like Green Valley.Then you know if theres less than 10 cars or 10 or more whatever it maybe the drivers will know what is being paid then there wouldn't be this well last week we had more or less and got paid this. But again I was not downing anybody nor was i taking up for the track.It just made sence to me why fuss on here about it it's not getting anything done.

Pat83 I do not appreciate you saying I may the problem of the track, cause I do everything i can for the drivers, and I can grant you there are several of them out there that will tell you that, you do not even know who i am for you to say anything about me. And to let you know i was not downing Shrek, cause I am the type of person if I think someone is wrong I will tell them, and as far as Shrek goes maybe you need to talk with him and he will tell you what type of person I am. And i know this is a place to let out frustration, but what I was trying to say the ones who have this frustration would feel better if they went to right people and try to solve the issue. I come on here all the time to see what is going on, and as far as me reporting things, I only report things that the drivers and fans ask me about, and what they ask me to handle if I can. There should be no reason why people should be so hateful about somethings. I will tell I do not appreciate what you said about me, and if you have a problem with or you think I am a problem to the track then maybe you should come more often to see what I do and the way I try to help people and you will eat the words what you said. So I would greatly appreciate if you did not say anything else about me until you know me and if you have a problem with me then maybe you need to come talk to me in person about it. I AM NOT THE PROBLEM AT THE TRACK. I guess if you came every weekend and knew everyone and knew that there was a problem then you could say what or who the problem.

mikijones84 I am not pointing the finger at you as the problem at the track. Go back and reread what was written.I am not being hateful. I have spoken to shrek so dont assume that with me being a new driver at this track that i am just new. Clearly i was misunderstood am however gonna say that unless a restructure is inevitible. I would love to run this track more but when you have people gunnin fo you and breaking things it gets expensive and as the track officials wont do anything about it . Its pretty much run what you brung so maybe i need to put a solid lift cam in and upgrade a little lol.
