I was wondering why rules are changed at the last min. If your going to change rules, then change them the prior year for the next year, not a month before the season starts. I was told that the track runs UMP rules, and I made the body to conform to those rules. Now I find out, that is not the case. I agree with the weight, and tire rules, but why not let everyone run a spoiler? These cars are hard enough to hook-up as it is.

best thing to do is talk to the tec man but if you will see the big race rules are diff from the reg racing season rules so got to the web site and look.

This comes stright from their website. These rules are for the reg. shows, not for the special races. I had talked to the track about a month ago and they said that the rules were UMP, nothing was said about additional rules. I conformed to the UMP rules, and now I find out that I am not legal to race.

If your body comforms to UMP Body rules then you are fine. The spoilers are an attempt to help the little motors agains the big motors. If once racing begins it appears the spoilers are giving the little motors to much of an advantage, the spoilers can be easily taken away. The ONLY variance from UMP rules is the weight and tire rule, and the allowance of the spoiler with the small engines.

That's my point. I have a body that the spoiler is made into the sail panels. That is why I called the track to make sure they were going by UMP rules. I spent a fair amount of money for this type of body, just to go hacking it up. Why not let the crates run a larger spoiler like most of the Late Model series do? I have no problem with the other rules, just this one. I don't want you feel that I am being hard to deal with, I just think there are other ways to level the playing field.(ie. larger spoiler for the crate motors, which are, I must say are eaiser to get than a 5 in. spoiler)
