The 9th Annual USCS “Columbus Clash” This Saturday Night!
Columbus, MS-The Columbus Speedway Summer Weekly Racing Series continues this Saturday night June 2nd at “The Baddest Bullring in the South” Columbus Speedway featuring the 9th annual USCS Columbus Clash. The mega event will feature the USCS sanctioned Winged Outlaw Sprint Cars, RCWRS Super Late Models, the USCS Open Wheel Modified Series, plus all local divisions in action.
Last week’s Summer Racing Series season opener at Columbus Speedway had 120 race teams in the pit area and another big turnout of competitors is expected this week to race in front of the traditionally standing room only crowd that typically attends the “Columbus Clash” event.
The big event will be the grand finale for the USCS Winged Outlaw Sprint Car Summer Speedweek with a good field of USCS competitors expected to be on hand to do battle on the 3/10’s mile high banked clay oval in their championship. The USCS Open Wheel Modified tour will be on hand as well adding the excitement. USCS racers will compete in the Power Dash, Heat races, B-Mains, and A-Main event.
Sprint Car racers expected include multi time USCS Champion Terry Gray, Marshall Skinner, Columbus’ Buster Dickerson, Florida’s Danny “The Hammer” Martin, plus others. Another stout field of Open Wheel Modified pilots is expected to be on hand from across the Mid-South vying for the coveted first place prize in their 25-lap main event as well.
All the exciting Columbus Speedway divisions will be in action as well including the ground pounding Rebel Challenge Weekly Racing Series Super Late Models plus the Street Stocks, Stormpay Late Models, Mini Stocks, and Late Model Stocks.
