REBEL CHALLENGE MEMBERS ONLY INVITATIONAL THIS FRIDAY NIGHT!
Columbus, MS- The 6th Annual Brown Engineering Rebel Challenge will offer an added bonus for both fans and Rebel Challenge Weekly Racing Series drivers on Friday night. In addition to the $2,000 to win 30-lap Rebel Rouser 30 main event on Friday night; there will also be the Rebel Challenge Weekly Racing Series Members Only Invitational presented by the fine folks at Mississippi One-Call.
The RCWRS Invitational is exclusively for 2006 (last year) season RCWRS members only. This race for the RCWRS Super Late Models will be a 20-lap $1,200 to win and $100 to start event that will also reward 2007 RCWRS points. In addition to the $1,200 first place prize, the winner of the Invitational will be guaranteed a starting position in the $10,000 to win Rebel Challenge Main Event on Saturday night.
The format for the invitational will see the top 20 in the field set during time trials qualifying for the $2,000 to win main event. In other words, drivers are qualifying for both races at the same time. Positions 21-24 will be based on the highest drivers from 2006 RCWRS points that have not made the field. Additional starters may be added as alternates, based on points, replacing those who are not able to make the starting grid after the $2,000 to win Rebel Rouser 30.
