Event Preview for September 23rd
The Columbus Nissan “Hurricane 30” September 23rd 7pm
Magnolia State 100 Prep Race
Columbus, MS – Racing action will continue at Columbus Speedway this Saturday night September 23rd featuring the 5th Annual Columbus Nissan “Hurricane 30” for Super Late Models paying $2,000 to win. The race will serve as the final tune up event for the Magnolia State 100. Historically many teams in all divisions have flocked to the speedway in preparation for the Magnolia State 100 and Magnolia State Championships. Columbus Speedway Weekly Racing Series will be in action including all the Weekly Racing Series divisions.
Of note, a format change will have the Stormpay Late Models qualifying along with the Late Models Stocks as these drivers will qualify at the MS100. Open Wheel Modifieds and Late Model Stocks will have 20-lap main events as well with the Street Stocks going for an extended distance of 15-laps.
Gates open at 5pm with racing at 7:00pm. The on-site racing broadcast can be heard on FM 88.5. Lawn chairs and coolers are welcome. Adult admission is $12 with students ages 11 to 18 admitted for $8. Children ages 10 and under are admitted free.
Please note driver’s meeting is scheduled for 5:30pm and hot laps and 6:30pm.
