Columbus, MS - Saturday night, July 8th saw the Columbus Speedway Weekly Racing Series back in action with a full regular program. All local divisions would be featured including the Commercial Dispatch Super Late Models.
Mike Boland would take the win in the Super Late Model division, with several drivers tuning up for next weekend's major Lucas Oil/MSCCS $10,000-to-win show. Jim McDuffie would take the runner-up spot followed by Rick Rickman, Dean Carpenter, and Clint Logan in the top five. Mark Stokes, Johnny Stokes, Shawn Edwards, Roger Shirley, and Greg Fore earned top ten honors.
Jason Brock would make his return to victory lane in the Open Wheel Modified division. Brock would lead Jay Burchfield, Jeremy Shaw, Bill Sudduth, and Brent Burns across the line. Toby Nichols, Bill Cole, Craig Vaughn, Lee Ray, and Jimmy Brasfield would complete the top ten.
Thomas McReynolds would take the Stormpay.com Crate Late Model win over Jamie Pickard and John Maxey, while Jody Guest claimed the Late Model Stock win followed by Brad Tomlinson and Ruble Maxey. Trinity Wyers would lead Marvin Beard and Danny Gable across the line in the Street Stock division, and Michael Pendley took the Mini Stock win over Mike Minor and Jackie Pendley.
Keith and Kevin Monahan won the Cruiser main event, and Ben Williams took the Hot Shot victory.
This Saturday night, July 15th, The MSCCS defends its home turf against many of the best drivers in the nation as the Lucas Oil Late Model Series comes to "The Baddest Bullring in the South" to take on the Mississippi State Championship Challenge in a monumental $10,000-to-win Speed TV-nationally televised event.
