Racing Action Continues at Columbus Speedway This Saturday Night!
Full Racing Program July 8th
Columbus, MS – Racing action will continue at Columbus Speedway on Saturday night July 8th featuring the Columbus Speedway Weekly Racing Series including the Commercial Dispatch Super Late Models as teams begin to prepare for the Lucas Oil/MSCC Series Cliburn Tank Lines James Nickoles Memorial coming July 15th.
All other local divisions will be in action including Late Model Stocks, Open Wheel Modifieds, Street Stocks, Stormpay Late Models, Mini Stocks, Hot Shots and Cruisers.
Current point’s leaders in each division of the Columbus Speedway Weekly Racing Series are as follows: Super Late Models-Shawn Edwards; Late Model Stock-Ruble Maxey; Open Wheel Modified-Lee Ray; Stormpay Late Models-Thomas McReynolds; Street Stock-Kevin Monahan; Mini Stock-Allen Gilreath; Cruiser-Jacob Stapp team; Hot Shots-Ben Williams
Gates open at 5pm with racing at 8:00pm. The on-site racing broadcast can be heard on FM 88.5. Lawn chairs and coolers are welcome. Fans and participants should also make note to visit the new Columbus Engine and Crank Shaft Pit Concession and the new Funnel Cake stand behind the grandstand near the entrance that will feature ice cold Pepsi products, fresh funnel cakes, and peanuts.
Adult admission is $10 with students ages 11 to 18 admitted for $8. Children ages 10 and under are admitted free.
