The Firecracker 5 Crown Super Late Models Series Up Next!
Huge Double Header Saturday and Sunday Night!

COLUMBUS, MISSISSIPPI-Racing action continues at Columbus Speedway on Saturday night July 1st at 8pm and Magnolia Motor Speedway on Sunday night July 2nd at 7pm with each track hosting Super Late Model Championship events as part of the Firecracker 5 Crown Summer Speedweek Series. The big shows will feature local divisions in action in addition to the big 40-lap Super Late Model event each night.
The Brown Engineering Firecracker 5-Crown Series will visit tracks throughout the South as part of a 5 night Summer Speedweek that will see Super Late Models compete at tracks across 3 different states gunning for the Firecracker 5 Crown Championship. The weekend will also be the second time Columbus Speedway and Magnolia Motor Speedway stage a doubleheader event thus providing a “can’t miss” set of events at two of the better tracks in the nation with Columbus Speedway on Saturday night and Magnolia Motor Speedway on Sunday night.
Columbus Speedway will host the 3rd annual “Cooley Transportation Firecracker 40” on Saturday night with Magnolia Motor Speedway hosting the 2nd annual “Majestic Metals Freedom 40” on Sunday night. A stellar field of cars from all over the South will converge at “The Baddest Bullring in the South” and “The Mag” making for a great weekend of racing action.

Columbus Speedway will also feature a fireworks show as part of the night’s activities and Magnolia Motor Speedway will also feature a salute to the military as well.
All the region’s top drivers are expected with the addition of noted traveling drivers such as 2004 Firecracker 5 Crown series Champion Jay Brinkley of Shelbyville, Tennessee, plus Louisiana ace Chris Wall who expected to run the Columbus events. Local drivers expected include reigning Firecracker 5 Crown Series Champion Mike Boland, plus Mark Stokes, the Rickmans, Shawn Edwards, David Breazeale, Bub McCool, Scott Dedwylder, Jason Smith, Neil Baggett, Anthony Rushing, and Ronny Lee Hollingsworth plus many more. Drivers from across the southeast including Mississippi, Alabama, Arkansas, Tennessee, and Louisiana are expected providing a weekend of some of the fiercest competition to date with the Firecracker 5 Crown Championship on the line.
The exciting local divisions will be in action each night as well as part of the racing action scheduled at both facilities. Big car counts in all the Weekly Racing Series divisions are expected as well making for two great nights of motorsports entertainment.
Pricing for both events include adult admission is only $15. Plus family friendly pricing will be in effect with children ages 10 and under admitted free; while student ages 11 to 18 and military personnel are admitted for only $10 on Saturday night. Fans should note that coolers and lawn chairs are welcome.
Magnolia Motor Speedway also features the Speedzone trackside parking which offers unreserved parking for $10 per car.
