What promised to be a great show on Saturday night was forced to end due to torrential rains at Columbus Speedway. Due to the rainout, the $400-to-win Mini Stock Summer Championship scheduled for this evening has been rescheduled for Saturday night, July 8th.
A great of field of over 110 race cars filled the pits, including 21 Mini Stock Summer Championship competitors, 17 Super Late Models, and excellent counts in all other local divisions as well. Columbus Speedway thanks all racers and fans in attendence and we hope to see everyone back at The Bullring as soon as possible.
Next Saturday night July 1st, Columbus Speedway hosts the third event of the Firecracker Five Crown Super Late Model Championship. Super Late Models compete for $2,000-to-win in the regional series that also includes stops at Duck River Speedway, North Alabama Speedway, Magnolia Motor Speedway and Pine Ridge Speedway over the course of Independence Day weekend.
