Mini Stock Summer Championship This Saturday Night at The Bullring
Plus Super Late Models and All Local Divisions!
Columbus, MS - Columbus Speedway returns to action Saturday night with a full Weekly Racing Series show featuring the Mini Stock Summer Championship. The $400-to-win special event is set to showcase a strong field of 4-cylinder competition in a 20-lap feature race. The event includes pole qualifying as well as front stretch driver introductions prior to the main event. There is no entry fee.
Multiple race winner and division points leader Allen Gilreath has been the dominant force at The Bullring this season and expected this weekend to be the target of other front-runners including Michael Pendley, Jackie Pendley, Stanley Busbin, among others. Steve Bryan has also been known to make the trip north to Columbus to try and take a win with big money on the line. With 20 laps of feature race action, there will be plenty of time for any driver in the field to mount a charge.
All local divisions will also be in action including the Commercial Dispatch Rebel Challenge Super Late Models, Open Wheel Modifieds, Stormpay.com Crate Late Models, Late Model Stocks, Street Stocks, Cruisers, and Hot Shots.
Racing action is scheduled to start at 8:00 PM. Pit gates open at 4:00 PM with drivers meeting at 6:30. Grandstand admission is $10, admission for students ages 11-18 and those with active Military ID is $8. Children 10 and under are admitted free. Visit www.ColumbusSpeedway.net for more information.
