2010 Season Opening of Little River Speedway


Dear Racers and Fans of Little River Speedway,


The 2010 season opening races have been very low in attendance. The LRS staff and officials have decided to make some changes to help pick up the car count. This will be the final rule changes of 2010. LRS doesn’t like to change rules to start off season but it seems necessary too. The new rules will allow cars from surrounding tracks to attend and be on a competitive level with LRS cars.
The new rules will be on www.littleriverspeedway.com within a week.
The 2010 season for LRS has brought a lot of new issues to the table to organize with track surface new officials as well as staff so we ask to please be patient till all is worked out .
For the new year there’s lot of exiting things happening , every class will have two points championships, one ending in July and the other ending November. These points championships will be awarded trophies with cash and gift certificates to numerous places. During the 2010 racing season a lot of changes will be coming to speedway as we can get to them. Here is some of the plans.
1. Running water throughout speedway for bathrooms and concession
2. Upgrades on fences with some more fences installed
3. Gravel to park on around speedway
4. More lights
5. Modern day scales and buildings
6. Several different foods in concession
7. Scoreboard
8. More seating for fans and pits
Each class has a business that is close to speedway to help promote classes with trophies and support throughout year.

The street stock tire rule will remain the same
Any street legal dot tire or g60 or lrs tire the dot american racer which can be purchased at little river for 80 bucks new

need to use nesmith late model rules Run crates in crate & sportsman in there class and maybe try to race on sunday you have GreenValley on friday,talladega short track on sat.

No way. With budgets and economy only a very few would run all three nites. And thats not counting if something breaks. No Sundays.

Any changes to super street

The super street rules will remain the same. The new payout is done and posted.
The main rule changes we re to allow cars from talladega to come without changing a thing.

L r s allows hoosier and american race tires .
The pony class will be compatable with gvs.
The openwheel division will run special events every month to be on schedule asap.

Racers and Fans,

The Officials of Little River Speedway has made some changes to purse and class rules. We made the changes so racers from other

racetracks can come race with us on a weekly basis. Little River has teamed up with Greenvalley Speedway for the 2010 year.
The details will be announced as soon as they are approved by both tracks. Basically it will include point bonuses and money bonuses for

running both tracks. The season points will start when all details have been worked out. The limited sporstsman will be seperated from crate

this year, the purse is posted for both. Hope to see everyone this saturday night April 3, 2010.

Openwheel modifieds schedule will be released in the next week, mods will have a race once a month for a good purse until we get a car

count in all classes.
