Racing Returns To The New Central Alabama Motor Speedway
Clanton, AL – November 7, 2009 – The 3/8 mile red clay track has set dormant for the past 6 Months and has been in preparation under the direction of Jaye Hutchison a former Dirt Track Driver.
We will be running all but one of the same divisions as some of the other area tracks. The race divisions will include Crate Late Model, Thunder Car, Hobby, Super Pony, Buzz Car and Pure Pony.
Dirt track racing is well underway. Central Alabama Motor Speedway will be racing during the month of November. We will resume our racing program at the end of February with practice dates to be soon announced, season opener on March 6, 2010 to kick off our 2010 Race Season.
With Jaye Hutchison’s knowledge of racing, coupled with Phillip Burnett as the Tech Man, they know what the drivers expect at a dirt track. The Rule Book will be the Bible at Central Alabama Motor Speedway and will be strictly enforced. Ed Davis is named as the Public Relations Director. Ed will also have the role of Announcer for the track. With the cohesion of all the well-experienced track officials, and a Certified Mechanic as the Tech Man, drivers and fans can expect a family atmosphere and experience a well-planned night of Dirt Track Racing. All will be thoroughly entertained! Race fans and drivers can expect clean full service concessions in the grandstands and pits, that all can afford.
