Just wanted to let everyone know that Central Alabama Motor Speedway will be holding a race on Saturday, April 18, 2009, weather permitting. If things go well, there will be a open practice Thursday, April 16, 2009. Any questions, call 205-965-3889.

wish them luck, but not a snowballs chance in hades that it'll be ready for thursday nite. too much rain goin on. what about concessions, track personnel, safety, towing, etc will that be ready. too too much to do

Bob Sapp, I understand your concern, but from what I understand there are several people out there working really hard to get the track ready. I was also told that all of your other concerns have been taken care of such as concessions, personnel, towing, etc. Sounds to me like all you need to do is show up. Even if Thursday night practice isn't successful, Saturay night will definitely happen.

Everywhere i have gone this week, all i have heard about is this Clanton dirt track and Billy Jack. I am going to be there Saturday night to check this out. Can we bring a cooler? Sounds like a good way to start the summer off!!

I just want to thank everyone for coming out to practice tonight. We have worked really hard on the track to get it ready for practice. It was a little rough due to all the rain, but it needed to be run on in able to see the areas that need more work. We had a great turn out and everyone seemed pleased and ready to race. I hope to see everyone Saturday night.

billy and jay yall done a great job in a short time. i enjoyed testing to bad i broke after a few laps but that tells me it is goin to be a good surface to race on thanx shrek 01

I have to eat my words it seems, after talking to joe s. on tuesday nite I did have doubts, but they did a good job, i was at the practice and the track really looked good. see you guys there soon.(btw, mudracer who are you? since you called my name , seems fair to know yours)

Well Season has Opened and looks like CAMS is going to make it...Plenty of food, Plenty of fans, Plenty of Drivers, and Plenty of help on the track and doing an awsome job. Keep the good work up Jay and Crew. Check website out people www.camspeedway.com Tells the whole story. |
