Dang why you dont you give them a chance anything has to be better than what it was..And to the new management good luck I would love to come run over there but it has to be worth the drive.Will the rules be posted on the website?

Wren is a pretty fair guy and has a lot of friends that want to see him do well don't bash the new guy lets just give him the chance every one else has had come and see i think he will do a good job. I talked to wren my self and if you bring enough cars to run a class i think you will be happy he is going to take over the web site so i can not say about the rules .but i do know he has new rule books and is looking to do a new wall around the track some scales and redo the lights but he might wait until winter to do that stuff. I have been around wren for a long time and he will be fair about the track and will not put up with the drama so if your going to run come get a rule book on the 22nd and talk with him in person trust me when i say you need the rules because he will stand by the book no bs!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH THE TRACK OR WREN THIS IS JUST MY OPINION

super street class {hobby}
limited late model
crate cars
street cruiser { street class} will be on small tires
come see sat. aug 22 2009 he will give everyone a rule book on practice day
we have cut the grass and picked up the junk so come and see for your self

FORMALLY HOLLIS SPEEDWAY WILL REOPEN UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT AND NEW NAME "LITTLE RIVER SPEEDWAY". THE GATE WILL OPEN AUGUST 22,2009 FOR A PRACTICE DAY,SAFETY INSPECTIONS AND TECHNICAL INSPECTIONS. Wasn't this what the other track manager tried to do--the more cars, the more the payout?! And wasn't the problem that there was an average of 4 cars per class? Granted I saw more cars in some classes than others--but on an average...so, if there are 3 cars in sportsman and 10 in street (and street class brought in more money at gate obviously) which class is going to pay more? To be fair, wouldn't it be street even though sportsman and late models are higher maintenance. What if there are only 6 cars--that's a long way for some folks to pull a car and a lot of expense to get there and not get a chance to make some money. I have been to several of the local tracks and would love to see Hollis Dirt Track make it. I think the name change is a mistake. That track has been Hollis Dirt Track for 40+ years--new managers have tried new names--that doesn't change anything. Keep in mind--it's a small track.

Good Luck. I read the other messages and wonder about all the updates your planning. Is there enough property at that track for a scale and wall? I also seem to remember that the junk around the track was mentioned. The land owner owns anything on the property and to remove anything would be like stealing from those people. I'm sure someone would have had a good size load of scrap metal, etc. but I guess they figured they'd not be stealing from people out that way. Glad you were able to get that taken care of. Make sure you spell check your fliers and messages--don't be lookin' like an idiot. That would really hurt your new track manager image.
