An extremely hot and humid afternoon at Swainsboro Raceway started out with the Driggers Concrete Road Warrior division. Austin Scarboro took the lead in the feature event with Josh Arrington in second. Lap two, Lisa Caststeel made her way to second. Unfortunately for Arrington running in third he would pit for the evening on lap three. With three laps to go Austin Scarboro leading the entire event ran into lapped traffic. As Scarboro maneuvered his way around, Lisa Caststeel closed the gap. Taking the checkered flag Austin Scarboro picked up the win, Lisa Caststeel second, Marsha Beasley third, Jared Jones in his first race appearance picked up fourth, Josh Arrington fifth.
In the Love’s Seafood Mini Stock division, Brad McKenzie took the lead with Jimmy Braddy running in second. With a four car battle for the lead on lap five, Terry Cox went to the outside and quickly dove back down to the inside. Hugging the inside retaining wall, Terry Cox took over the lead. Cox began to pull away a few car lengths as Brad McKenzie fought Jimmy Braddy off for second. Terry Cox picked up his second race win in a row, Brad McKenzie second, Jimmy Braddy third, Joey Schoen fourth, and Timmy Monroe fifth.
Rolling out in the Daniels Chevrolet Pure Stock division, a three car battle for the lead brought fans to their feet. Luke Scott took the lead with Dustin Watkins second and Shannon Scott third. By lap four, it became a battle of the brothers as Shannon Scott took over second. With five laps to go, the leaders were battling lap traffic. Taking the white flag, Shannon Scott dove to the inside of Luke Scott off turn two. One mistake by these two brothers and Dustin Watkins would be taking the checkered. With a bumper to bumper finish, Luke Scott took the checkered, Shannon Scott second, Dustin Watkins third, Wesley Coleman fourth, and Marshall Powell fifth.
Pulling at front in the Sunoco Super Street event was Michael Thigpen. As Thigpen led the way, Danny Scarboro and Chris Caststeel fought for second. Lap three coming off turn two side by side, Scarboro had more power on the stretch but Caststeel shot beside the 04 car in the turns. With three laps to go, coming off turn two side by side, Caststeel held onto the power and took over second off turn four. Michael Thigpen was stroking and took the checkered flag making it the second win in a row for the Thigpen brothers. Second place was Chris Caststeel, third Danny Scarboro, fourth Garrett Thigpen, and fifth Casey Smith.
Ending the night in the R & R Crate Late Model division, Albert Cosnahan took the lead lap one. Lap two, as Henry Carter went to the inside, Cosnahan shot high sending him over the back wall.
