RAIN FORCES SCHEDULE ADJUSTMENT FOR TALLADEGA SHORT TRACK
Eastaboga, AL (May 23, 2009) – The rainy conditions that have plagued Talladega Short Track the month of May has forced adjustments in the upcoming schedule for the 1/3 mile clay oval located in Eastaboga, AL.
After all heats were in and the first feature was running two weeks ago, on May 9th the skys opened up causing the postponement of the rest of the feature events.
After getting rained out for two consecutive weeks since, and with specials coming up the next several weeks, TST officials had to adjust how the make-up features will be ran.
Next Saturday Night will feature the first ever appearance of the SRRS Super Late Models in a 3,000 to win main event. All other divisions will be in action, and the Crate Late Model and Hot Shot feature from May 9th will be made up as well.
The make-up events for the Sportsman and Street Stocks will then take place a week later on Saturday June 6th which will feature the only appearance of the season for the NVRA Vintage Cars plus a full show in all other divisions.
No make-up features will be ran on June 13th due to the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series $10,000 to win event being held that night.
The Super Late Models will now make-up there May 9th postponed event on Saturday June 20th as part of the Fan Appreciation Night. Now fans will get to come out and see Two Super Late Model shows plus a full show in all other divisions for a stimulus-cheap ticket price of just $5 for adults in the stands.
The last two make-up features will then be contested one week later on Saturday June 27th, as the IMCA Modifieds and Thundercars will run there make-up event. That night will also feature the Hot Shot Championship event plus a full program in all other divisions.
