I heard there is a new track being built on hwy 145 about 4 or 5 miles from SCS. Has anyone heard this or have any info? We race at SCS but I live in Montgomery so I don't get much information on this stuff.

I heard about it this weekend at the auction but not a whole lot of info. I heard that they were building a high banked half mile that will be alot like Pheonix City and that it is a woman anshe is from Georgia. That is about all I heard of it. CODY BROWNING

I have heard a couple people talking about an auction. What auction were you talking about? As I said I live in Montgomery and am not really "in the loop"

We ran last year, just had a mishap on the last race and I have been putting off the repairs. You know how it is at the end of the season you say " I have time" then you wake up from that dream and say "S@#T!" I don't have that much time left. We ran the #87 short body Scirocco in Pony Class.

Mr Revis I went out there two days ago and it is a long way from being ready they are just clearing the land. It is supposed to be a 1/2 mile high bank and wide. It is on 145 in Columbiana. If you go down 28 to 145 take a right and it is about 1.5 or 2 miles and it is a little road that has barley been cut in and if you don't have a 4x4 don't get on it. Oh and if you don't mind give me a call when you get a chance. CODY BROWNING 205-337-8695

If they pay like they say they are, it will shut Shelby down. I look around the pits and you don't see many drivers that are there alone. They have friends and family in the pits with them. Not to mention the people in the stands that come to watch. The pay outs should be better. It doesn't matter wich class you run in it is all expensive. I know we don't do it for money. We do it for the competition and the friendships, we do it for the love of the sport. That's why most all of us have a standing date every Saturday night for a get together with a couple hundred of our closest racing family members. To remember the ones that are no longer here and to greet the ones that have never been here before. It's almost time, just a few more weeks. Then we will once again gather under the lights and chase each other around in the dirt. It's good to see kids play so well together I love the smell of cherry fuel fragrance in the spring!
