I just heard from a real good source gv was changing to run on friday nights and was gonna change the track again by pushing the front straight in! has anyone heard if this is true maybe if we all post our opinion about this the track will listen...my opinion is this is ginna devastate his business as working people we cant run on friday nights, also changing the track cost us lower guys about 300 dollars so we would appreciate a notice as soon as possible, how about push the turns in rather than the straight???

Stop complaining already. If its not rearends meeting your appproval now its the track itself. Let GVS address it. Send a note via pm to them.

Well i guess i was wrong maybe we are the only ones who cant run on friday nights! I just thought more people felt the same way! but still is was only an opinion, but i just think people are not gonna run on friday nights especially when high school football is going on! i just dont think you can compete with that.

You are right about Fri nites. I know another track south of GVS doesnt even try to compete w/HS sports. But what if it changed nites and then changed back when school is back in around mid-August ?

I dont know why Green Valley would even consider going to fri nites. They are not hurting in the car count too bad. The stands is where they arent getting people and i dont really think changing to fri nites will help them get more people there. Most fans really only go one nite a week and i dont see many of the fans @ TST driving up to Green Valley on fri nites.
I have been to TST also when there weren't a lot of people in the grandstands but the car count is always over 100 so there are a lot of people in the pits and back straight stands.
The main thing i think Dennis @ Green Valley needs is to find someone that can help him promote the track that will gets people into the grandstands. I'm sure everyone has a million ideas on how to do this but until the right thing that works for Green Valley is done then the stands will continue to hurt for fans.

well my OPINION on that one is dennis has people that work for him that dont belong there, at any track friendly people go along way especially people like track promoters or flag men. that smith guy has run alot of people off by talking to them like dogs (RACERS AND FANS). when you ask a simple question and you get a smart@$$ answer back then that hurts business! everyone foes to t.s.s becuase the racing there is exciting!! now if gv could get there track to 3 wide racing it would be just as exciting but turn 2 is way to tight for that and the guy on the bottom loses way to much momentum. I once read out of a circle track book that if you have one guy out front in any one giving class winning every race then there is two problems 1) your rules are wrong or 2) the racer is cheating, if you have exciting racing then it will get out and people will be coming to see! now this past year i say gas prices had alot to do with people getting out. now as far as dennis goes i have to say this if you have any issues with a member of gv staff and you go to dennis he WILL make it right!!!at least he has for us, so the track must find a way to make the racing better in all classes becuase in the hobby class when you get stuck behind two slow cars there is no room to pass on the track!! i dont know the answer to the problems i just hope maybe to give some input that could help....what about call a meeting with all gv drivers and ask them...that might be the way to go...see yall at the bash

My opinion is that GVS needs to move to Friday nights. If you look at GVS's big picture it would be great. By moving to Friday nights GVS will not have to compete with TST and Thunder mountain at the big track and wont have to compete for karts with TST at the kart track. As a Driver/Car Owner at the big track, and with my kids racing karts, I think this is the smartest change Dennis has made. The racing will be better at the big track and at the kart track. As for competing with friday night football, I believe that the race track should schedule there season around it. Start racing in March and end in late Aug. That would be no different than racing from April to Sept.

well if they do i give it 3 weeks and they will be back to sat night racing talladega people are not gonna run 2 nights a week any way, if they wanted to run gv they would, moving nights is not gonna help in any fashion, although it will help fort payne speedway alot becuase from what im hearing from ALOT of drivers they are sick of broken promises from gv....dennis once said im not gonna change a thing until 2012 so why the change...absolutly no drivers have had any input on this, and i hate it becuase we love racing there but will now be forced as many others to go to fort payne
