I was looking at the points for Nesmith and saw where the 04 car Blake stewert was at Green valley on june 28 and at Talladega short Track for a top tracks race the same night and got 25 points form Nesmith. How is that possible?would someone explain? Also on Aug the 16 at Fort Payne he was racing for double points and won, there were only 8 cars there but got credit for a fiels of 15 cars. He was suppose to get 40 points for each race and got 50 points each race. If there is a reason behind this situation would someone explain or have any info on this matter. Dont understand what happened.

The August 16th race at Fort Payne Motor Speedway was rescheduled from August 2nd when the power went out at the track. On August 2, 14 drivers entered the event. On August 16 for the announced rescheduled race, one additional driver entered the event. The track collected 15 total entries for this race. That's how the NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series determines how many points are awarded for an event, the number of entries, and not by how many drivers start the feature race.
NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series officials also corrected the June 28 situation, when they learned, from Blake Stewart himself, that he was not at Green Valley Speedway on that date. The 25 points was removed from his point ledger. Green Valley Speedway reported through their Speednet data that Blake Stewart was in attendance on August 30, but NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series officials were well aware that Blake Stewart was at the NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series National Touring event on that date at Whynot Motorsports Park in Meridian, MS.
I hope this answers your question.

So what you're saying is, through some odd dimensional split. Seven cars raced at FPMS and GVS on the same night? I mean by your statement those seven cars were in the car count as being at FPMS, and they had to be in the GVS car count because they were actually there. Did those drivers receive points for being at FPMS and GVS? Your logic clearly states that they should have, some phantom driver finished ninth at FPMS in addition to their actual finish at GVS.
I see how this works now, some NeSmith track somewhere collects entries for 23 "phantom" drivers. Then a single car comes onto the track, drives like a madman for 20 laps and takes the checkers. Thus receiving points for a victory over a full field of cars.
Seriously?
Look if you want to give Blake a championship just give it to him. Don't play the rest of us as fools by trying to explain away an obvious points scandal.
Corrupt series is corrupt.

It is no different than lets say seven cars crash in practice and load up and go home. If they sign in, they were there. And from a look at the points, I dought Stewart will win anyway. Either way, I don't have a dog in this fight and don't really care. JMO

Either way, I don't have a dog in this fight and don't really care. JMO it isnt the same because on the make up race the drivers werent ever at the track. the way it is set up if would be to a drivers advantage to pay the enrty fee for drivers who arent at the track so they can up the car count. say there are 10 cars actually at the track. if someone is running for the championship it would be worth the extra $50 to pay the entry fee for 5 other cars who werent at the track that nite so they could get points for 15 cars instead of ten. it would be interesting to know how many times this year the car count has been "bumped up" at any of the tracks, not just Ft Payne. The way i see it this isnt a problem that just happened at Ft Payne. Racers arent dumb and if they can get a advantage they will.

the night at fort payne was just a race postponed, when all the races get postponed from weather or any other circumstances, you dont see them go back and count the cars that payed their entry prior to the week before they count the cars that are there. I know T S T has races called off and they dont go back and count cars from what was there a week or 2 before. The situation applyes that they were only 8 cars there for the race no matter if they registered 2 weeks prior. They should only gets points for that amount of cars there how Does nesmith count cars at a national race when they postpone a race,or do they go back and count what was there before or what is there racing that night I believe they count the cars as of that night and that is what they get point for? I believe the rules say points are awarded on a weekly basis not on weeks prior to the race..
