FORT PAYNE, AL – Stock car racing action this Saturday night at Fort Payne Motor Speedway will be highlighted with a $500-to-win Demolition Derby. A full stock car racing program will also be on the card with the Super Late Models, NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series Late Models, A Hobby Stocks, B Hobby Stocks, and Pony Stocks in action on the 3/8-mile clay oval.
The concept of the Demolition Derby is quite simple: A group of cars will line-up on the front straightaway in front of the grandstand, the fans will count them count them down to start, and the cars will smash, bang, bump and grind into each other until there is just one car left running, and that car will be the winner. It’s going to be controlled “road rage” in spectacular fashion.
This Saturday night, gates open at 5 p.m. with racing scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Ticket prices are $10 for Adult General Admission and Children 12 and under are admitted Free.
