In the super street class is there a minimum cc rule if you run Vortec or double hump heads? I know that the vortec heads come from the factory with 64cc combustion chambers. Rules state that ford has a minimum of 64cc if you run world product or SVO heads.

No there is not a cc rule for vortec or double hump heads. You do however have to add 100lbs.

I was just wondering why the fords have a minimum on their cc when you can get down to 47 or 48 cc out of the vortec heads. Ford has to add 100lbs for world product and 125 lbs for svo also but can't go below 64cc's.

I think gv should go back and think about these rules changes that the tech man before set so it would make it far for everyone now it is starting to get out of control again......i would rather a tech man who builds cars for a living do the teching! not saying anything bad about the one we have i just think anything visual should be caught by the techman when you tech through before the race so the only thinks you have to worry about someone beating you on are the things listed in the teardown rules.....just like suspesion bushings..those are not being checked
