FORT PAYNE, AL - With a promising field of cars, and the grandstands just starting to fill, the rain got the best of Fort Payne Motor Speedway Friday night. Track preparations continued, in vein, until the final announcement was made.
Race fans and pit-crew members are prompted to hold there tickets and arm-bands for redemption in two weeks on Friday, June 27th when there will be a full racing program with Super Late Models, NeSmith Chevrolet Late Models, A Hobby's, B Hobby's, Pony's, and Spectator Racing. Following the event on June 27 will be the $5000.00 to win Stars and Stripes 75. A 3 day 75 lap NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model National Series event that will include the A-Hobby's, B-Hobby's, and Pony's.
Wednesday, July 2nd will see open practice for all classes. Thursday everyone will get hot laps and qualifying. Then on Friday, July 4th will be all features and NeSmith Chevrolet B-mains followed by the $5000.00 to win Stars and Stripes 75.
