FORT PAYNE, AL – The rained out May 26 race at Fort Payne Motor Speedway has been rescheduled for Friday night, June 6, and the track will not be in action this Friday night. The June 6 program will feature a $1,000-to-win Super Late Model race, plus heats and feature races for the NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series Late Model, A Hobby, B Hobby, Pony, and Cruiser Divisions. The May 26 event was rained out just before hot laps with 21 Super Late Models and 22 NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series Late Models in the pit area ready to do battle. Pit arm bands and grandstand ticket stubs from May 26 will be honored on June 6. Fort Payne Motor Speedway officials have announced that they have amended the Super Late Model Division tire rule to allow any tire of any brand that punches 48 or higher on the track durometer. All other rules for all Divisions can be found on the track web site at www.fortpaynemotorspeedway.com. On June 6, the gates open at 4 p.m. with racing scheduled for 7 p.m. Fort Payne Motor Speedway is located just west of Rainsville, AL off State Road 75 on County Road 72.
