just wondering how everyone feels about the prices at the gates.seems like if the addmission was a little lower the grandstands would have more fans and the pits would have more cars. jmo

~well your gonna pay whatever or your not gonna be able to get your fix for the week lol! but im still upset unless i completly misunderstood the convo with the driver in front of us in line that the sprint drivers only had to pay $25 to get in and we had to pay $30. now i know $5 is not much but it is today in time and especially for somthin we really could care less bout seein and dont even get to watch because we are workin on the car to begin with. but like i said earlier i guess well pay whatever to get our fix! ....the only real gripe i had was when the 19 car was called wrong in the limited lm and showed his tale at tech in which gvs had no control over, drivers just get hot headed when all the adrenaline is flowing, but he still could of hurt someone!......maybe them lights will be workin good this week things just havent been goin there way lately, but i think they are gettin that new scoreboard this week so thatll be good. racin was pretty good tho what i got to see and i wreckon well be there this weekend with 2 cars so see yall there! ~

Scoreboard will not be installed this week( we announced Saturday that it would be several weeks) it is on order and hope to have it up by the end of the two week break when we reopen on June 21st.
Price isssue has been beaten in the ground and I am not altering, because you go to other tracks and pay more.
Was at Duck River last Sunday night they charged $15.00 in the grandstands and $30.00 in the pits for a SRRS Super LM Race. The stands were full with plenty of fans and had to stand as no seats were available.
Went to Moulton several weeks ago they charged $15.00 in grandstands and $30.00 in the pits, had a full crowd and heard no complaints, as the first feature race went on the track at 11:00 pm
Went to Waltenburg several weeks ago they charged $15.00 in grandstands and $30.00 in the pits, had a good crowd and heard no complaints, as they fiinshed show at 1:30 am
Went to Fort Payne opening night had 33 cars and charged $12.00 in grandstands heard no complaints from anybody when show was over in about two hours.
Sunday night at Rome, heard they had a packed house and finished at 2:00 to 2:30 am. Have heard no complaints about that.
Give away many free tickets every week to try and attract new fans, get no complaints from those folks. So $10.00 in grandstands is very fair for a regular show and $30.00 in the pits for a special show isn't out of line.
If I can get the fans out on time and give the drivers a consistantly good track to run on the fans will eventually come. Lowering my prices to way below others isn't the solution or the total problem. We are getting done earlier, even when the lights go out we are done by before or a little after 12:00. I want to be done by 10:45 or 11:00 and have a great track to run on and if I have to say so myself we are getting closer & closer to both.
We race 8 classes a night which gives more drivers a place to run, as other tracks race 5 to 6 classes a night and have cut out some of the lower classes. We don't want to cut out any classes if possible, but if you think we don't have to hussle and have everything go just right to get done on time you are wrong.
Thanks GVS

The only thing i see wrong with the prices is having so many special shows. Other than that the prices are pretty well in line with what other tracks charge.
As far as getting out on time........ i think there has been a great improvement in this area. Take away the down time for the problem with the lights the last couple of weeks and we were finished both nights at a decent time

~i completly agree, my problem is not the prices nor th etime to get out, now dont get me wrong gettin out wee hours in the morning week after week would be rough but its dirt track racin you never know whats ghonna happen and i understand bout havin an extra $5 here or there for BIG shows but not every other weekend. and my problem wasnt with the price to begin with it was that we paid one price and the other poeple paid another! and my bad on when the score board will be in thats just what i heard from that new guy! any i only have one question/favor/suggestion when the crate and limiteds are qualifying could you annouce the fast time of the cars some crews like to keep up with it and without the scoreboard to read we dont know. thanks and see yall sat!~

I ALSO WENT TO A RACE AT WINCHESTER SPEEDWAY IN TENN. SATURDAY NITE WITH A FRIEND AND MY PIT PASS WAS $30 FOR A REGULAR SHOW AND AGAIN LEFT AT 11:00 RIGHT AFTER THE LATE MODELS WERE THROUGH ,WHICH WERE THE 2ND FEATURE........ in my opinion the prices at the valley are very fair. the problem is the cost of living and the economy right now that make it sting so bad. Fuel for my truck to get to work and back is averaging 400 dollars a month and that aint dennis fault. so keep doin what your doin
