Does anyone know what was illegal on the 17 car that finished first in super street? I know Mike Jones protestes him and the 17 was deemed illegal....Just wondering.

He had a 90/10 shock on the car is all I know.

i thought 90 / 10 shocks were legal? or is it just on a leaf car?

We thought it was legal also, rules did not say either way on a coil car.

Rules specifically say that a 90/10 is legal on a leaf spring car.
Which should be interpreted that if we specifically say it is legal leaf spring car but do not say it is on a coil spring car, it is not !
We have enforced this interpretation all year long.

As I had posted earlier we thought it was legal. Later we had a discussion about the rule and it did state that leaf cars could run the 90/10. We appreciate that Tim and Dennis took the time to go over the ruling with us, and we agree on the ruling.

legal or not my hat is off to your driver. he is the one who broke the rearend with 2 laps to go and hung on for the win? Looked like a trailing arm snapped.

Well the race is on BIG BOYs ford put it on them sat.I see a little crying going on. Looks like the chevys have some work to do at this time of season.The #17 in house this car and done their homework . The rules were very gray about the 90/10 shock,but if the shock makes a car run that good Iwould like to buy a truckload and sell them every racer would like some.

We would like to thank the guys in the super street class for all of the attention we have gotten in the last couple of weeks. Now that we will have to weigh in at 3000 LBS we just hope we can still be competitive in our FORD and maybe if we can win another race we are thinking of self imposing a new rule for our selfs, the next week just run three tire on the car.
