LOST - Green Valley Speedway Track Officials Where are they, because they sure as heck aint at the track........

It is a shame. All that money put in to make a nice track and it's run worse now than before.

I thought the racing in the crate class was awesome. Good side by side racing, but didn't really like the "Goober" call of letting Chip Brindle back in his spot after he spun. I also think they should've checked more in post race tech than just the radiator and shocks. A compression check might have been good. JMO

I also think the track should take more consideration in this class to tear a few motors apart ...after all the track owner said he was getting like 40 thou a month for gas that was found on his land seems he should use it for tech tools!!!! there is one crate car that everyone in the stands talks about being illegal but yet the track has done nothing...just walk around and listen at them run and it will tell on its self one car sounds better than any late model

I guess those guys at the track think u cant cheat on a crate motor when in fact it is just as easy to cheat on one of those than any other motor. look at the past 4 to 5 issues of circle track where it is all about the "crate debate" but i guess guys like keth dorton doesnt know anything like green valley speedway knows it!!! i grant you if every motor at gv was tore apart the statistics for pass to fail ratio would more than likely be 50 %.if you truly want to fix the prob then go with crate motors cant any thing added to them they must run the dist that comes with then with a 600 holley straight from you local auto parts house with no modifications people are buying these motors new and going into them and buy the time they get done have about 12 thou in the motor there is a walking blind man in the wood pile on this one??

5racefan , just a little info for you . The 604 doesnt come with a distributor. Now I dont race at GVS, simply because the show has always been horribly run, the track about the same. Now guys are telling me the track prep itself is getting tremendously better. But also the thing I dont get, is at a time when peoples money is tight, they go up $5 to the pits ,and stands. The only reason I see them doing this is b/c of their $5 off guarantee the races will be over by 11pm ;D - this way they collect the same money.

Now are they paying more ,sure but all I read about everyweek is torn up race cars, people claiming favoritism, and just being done wrong. I've noticed several GVS cars at the little track down the road the last few weeks.

As far as the crate motor, Im not sure where your getting the $12,000 deal . You can buy one of these motors from GM for $5,095 . You can buy one blueprinted (& Legal ) for just over $6800.

You cant count stuff like the carb , water pump ,headers, pulleys etc. in the cost . b/c this stuff doesnt come with it. You have to buy it either way .

If you think cheating is happening, you could probably call Mike Vaughn with the NeSmith series. They showed up at TST last year ,and P&G'd every crate there ,and found 2 cars out of I believe 25 cars Illegal . Then they had 2 choices, give up their motor , or be suspended for 1 month and pay a fine. I've seen neither car enter a crate race since. I dont think this conspiracy of cheating is happening as much as people think.

Now , i've finished 3rd now at TST for the last five races in a row. Now thats getting old , but you know most every race the top 2 have been different cars. So you know whose shoulders that falls on .....MINE for not getting the job done. So the best thing to do ,is work on the car some more, and find that little bit extra needed to get the job done . when i've finished the last 5 races in 3rd - I could have thrown my glove out the window and hit the top 2 cars - thats how close the races have been. So do I think Im being cheated on in these races .......absolutely not - Im simply getting beat.

I agree, there was more than one incident where there was a caution & no one was put in the rear. Sure, there are nice bathrooms, good pay outs and everything, but not everyone that goes to the track is even the slightest bit worried about that stuff. We come to race not to see a circus. I have been to TsT for 2 weeks in a row and there is 4 times as many cars & the show is more organized, THEY PUT THOSE IN THE REAR THAT CAUSE A CAUTION, and we get home at a decent hour. I want Green Valley to do good so bad but we can't handle all the nonsense that is going on there. Please take all the comments into consideration because this year everyone is agreeing on the same things!

Seems to me every time we log onto this site a certain racing team is having something bad to say about the track. If you dont like racing at GVS then dont come back. Dennis is trying very hard and spending alot of money to get this track running the right way, no one is perfect so give him some slack. We have to work together on this or it is never going to work, think about it.

well thursday night i didnt agree with the cautions and no one goin to the rear either. but my biggest complaint was changin the running order to accomodate a certain driver in the modifieds. if he had prior engagments then maybe he should have stayed home. we didnt get to change anything on the car and barely had time to check air pressure and get the driver in and hooked up with belts and hans.

I disagree, maybe you just don't like us like so many other people, either way we really don't care, the truth is everything we post on here is FACT so if you don't like it don't read it. No one can work together to make people that work at the track do their jobs. And yeah, I know Dennis is spending tons of money but that doesn't have a dang thing to do with making calls and doing what is right, plain and simple. Nothing has been done to our race team this year so it really has NOTHING to do with just our team, It's everyone so like you said, we won't be back unless we just have to. If they don't want negative things on here then they need to clean up their act. But like I said, I don't care if anyone on here or at the track likes me or what I post, its my opinion and there are plenty of people who share it that are not affiliated with our race team, I am not gonna sit here and argue, I just wanted to state my opinion like everyone else, if you would like to argue or something, I think everyone knows who I am on here so......
