MCKEAN COUNTY adds FASTRAK Northeast Late Model Touring Series event
on July 28

July 18, 2007 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Pulaski, PA.The FASTRAK Northeast Touring Series is pleased to add
another show to its 2007 schedule of events at McKean County Raceway,
which will take place on Saturday, July 28 at the East Smethport, Pa.
facility. The event replaces the inaugural event that was originally
scheduled for April 28, but was then cancelled due to the lack of
production of the Goodyear tires.
The 25-lap feature will pay $1,500 to-win, $150 to-start. "Our last
FASTRAK regional show was very, very good," stated McKean Promoter
Ken Leet. "The racing was great; there was practically a blanket over
the top six all night. Although John Lacki led all 25 laps, Todd
Andrews was basically beside him for 20 of those laps, add in the
great races by thingy Barton, Alan Dellinger and Greg Oakes and MCR
couldn't wait to schedule another event."
"McKean had hoped from the beginning to reschedule their first race,"
explained Northeast Co-Regional Director Mike Leone. "We were
thrilled when they called and gave us July 28 especially after losing
some other events due to circumstances beyond our control. The first
show drew a Touring-high 25 cars. McKean has even talked about adding
a fourth show later in the summer plus they already have increased
their season-ending show to $3,000 to-win for September 28."
Winners thus far on the Touring Series include thingy Barton with
victories at Raceway 7, Eriez, and Mercer, John Lacki and Raceway 7
and McKean, and Alan Dellinger at Lakeville. Dellinger is the current
point leader in search of the $5,000 championship, which would give
him a leg up in the region toward the $50,000 national champion.
