CLARKSVILLE, TN – The StormPay.com Dirt Late Model Series has announced its 2007 National Touring Schedule with 21 point-paying events in six different states, up to five more events to be announced, and two non-point events. The schedule shows nine returning tracks from the 2006 schedule, and six new venues for 2007.
Tracks returning to the schedule include Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, AL, Columbus Speedway in Columbus, GA, East Bay Raceway Park in Tampa, FL, Swinging Bridge Raceway in Jackson, MS, Pike County Speedway in McComb, MS, Whynot Motorsports Park in Meridian, MS, Penton Raceway in Penton, AL, Duck River Speedway in Wheel, TN, and Magnolia Motor Speedway in Columbus, MS.
New tracks on the 2007 StormPay.com Dirt Late Model Series National schedule include Deep South Speedway in Loxley, AL, Southern Speedway in Hattiesburg, MS, Simpson County Speedway in Mendenhall, MS, North Georgia Speedway in Chatsworth, GA, East Alabama Motor Speedway in Phenix City, AL, and Twin Cities Raceway Park in North Vernon, IN.
The 2007 StormPay.com Dirt Late Model Series National Tour begins this Saturday and Sunday at Talladega Short Track with the 16th Annual Ice Bowl, and then moves to Columbus Speedway for the Winter Classic on January 27. East Bay Raceway Park will host three events on February 22, 23, and 24.
Deep South Speedway will see the StormPay.com DLMS in action with a two-day show on March 16-17. The tour moves to Mississippi on March 30 at Southern Speedway, and on March 31 at Swinging Bridge Raceway. Pike County Speedway will present the StormPay.com DLMS with a two-day show on April 20-21.
The series will make its first visit to Simpson County Speedway on May 4, followed by a trip to Whynot Motorsports Park on May 5. North Georgia Speedway will host the series for the first time on May 26, and then it’s back to Swinging Bridge Raceway for a two-day show on June 8-9.
The StormPay.com DLMS returns to Penton Raceway on July 20, followed by its first visit to East Alabama Motor Speedway on July 21. The series will return to Duck River Speedway on August 18. Whynot Motorsports Park will present a two-day Labor Day spectacular for the second straight year on August 31 and September 1.
The StormPay.com DLMS will visit the Hoosier State for the first time when Twin Cities Raceway Park hosts a two-day event on September 28-29. The series will return to Magnolia Motor Speedway as a part of the Cotton Pickin’ 100 weekend on October 20, and the series makes its second appearance of the season at Talladega Short Track on October 27.
The final points race of the season for the StormPay.com DLMS will be a part of the Possum Town Grand Prix at Columbus Speedway on November 24.
The first of two non-point events will take place at Columbus Speedway on November 23 with the 2nd Annual Weekly Racing Series Invitational Shootout for the top drivers in the StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series.
The final event of the season will be a non-points event with the $10,000-to-win 3rd Annual Crate Racin’ USA World Championship Race at East Bay Raceway Park on December 7-8.
The 2007 StormPay.com DLMS schedule also has five open dates, with May 27, June 29, June 30, September 14, and September 15 available for additional dates.
