Jeremy Grady Earns Deery Brothers Victory at Quad City!
(STORY CITY, IOWA) Jeremy Grady and Team 43 are coming off a great week of
Dirt Late Model action, as they picked up one victory and landed two
additional top five finishes! Jeremy reached victory lane last Wednesday
evening, May 16 at the Quad City Speedway in East Moline, Illinois. The
50-lap IMCA Deery Brothers Summer Series feature event had been rained out
earlier in the year and Jeremy rolled off from the outside of the fifth row
prior to the drop of the green flag.
The driver known as the "Story City Outlaw" had moved up to seventh by the
third circuit and later grabbed the second spot by lap twenty. Jeremy then
chased down leader and eventual runner-up Terry Neal and took the point by
making a stellar outside pass for the lead by lap thirty. He then held off
Neal and the rest of the field to register the $2,000 victory for his first
IMCA Deery Brothers Summer Series feature win!
After a day off, Jeremy and his #43 team invaded the Iowa State Fair
Speedway in Des Moines, Iowa on Friday evening, May 18. Jeremy turned in an
impressive performance in his heat race to take the win and later started
the A-Main from the tenth position. After the dust had settled at Des
Moines on Friday, the Story City, Iowa native found himself credited with a
strong runner-up effort to winner Kelly Tapper.
It was then off to the Hamilton County Speedway in Webster City, Iowa on
Saturday for another weekly race. Jeremy finished second in his competitive
heat race before starting the main event from the outside of the fourth row.
Unfortunately for Team 43, the handling of the car did not suit Jeremy
early in the race, as he fell back to the twelfth position. However, he got
up on the wheel and then proceeded to pick off seven cars en route to a
solid fifth place performance.
Jeremy and his #43 team are currently preparing for an ultra-busy week of
Dirt Late Model action, which kicks off tonight with a $2,000 to win Indee
Open event at the Fayette County (IA) Speedway. In all, Jeremy is scheduled
to compete in five events from May 22-28, including a pair of Deery Brothers
Summer Series shows. Below is the upcoming schedule for Team 43:
Tuesday, May 22 | Fayette County (IA) Speedway, Indee Open - $2,000 to win
Wednesday, May 23 | Highway 3 (IA) Raceway, Deery Brothers - $2,000 to win
Friday, May 25 | Iowa State Fair Speedway, Weekly Show
Saturday, May 26 | Hamilton County (IA) Speedway, Weekly Show
Monday, May 28 | Boone (IA) Speedway, Deery Brothers - $2,000 to win
The Jeremy Grady Racing team would like to thank the following marketing
partners for their continued support this season: Neighbors Heating,
Cooling, & Plumbing, NAI (Nikkel and Associates), JR Motorsports, NAPA -
