Bart Hartman Takes First Checkers of the Year at Midway!
(ZANESVILLE, OHIO) The Bart Hartman Racing team earned their first feature
win of the young 2007 racing season last Friday night, May 4 at the Midway
Speedway in Crooksville, Ohio! Bart Hartman had a quick car all evening at
the Buckeye State oval, as he finished second in his heat to earn the inside
second row starting spot for the $1,000 to win A-Main. The Zanesville, Ohio
native stalked down the leaders and took the point in the early stages of
the race. He then built on his lead and took the checkers over DJ Cline,
Doug Dodd, Shane McLoughlin, and Rick Conley. You can view complete results
online at www.midwayracing.com!
The #75 team was then rained-out on Saturday evening, May 5. After the
Muskingum County (OH) Speedway canceled their events early in the day, Bart
was planning on racing at the K-C Raceway in Chillicothe, Ohio. However,
Mother Nature took the win at Jim Nier's facility as well on Saturday.
"It feels good to get that first win under the belt for the season," stated
Hartman earlier in the week via telephone. "Everyone has worked really hard
and hopefully this is the first of many more wins this season. There have
not been a whole lot of big races in our area so far this year, so we are
just tuning the car and getting it ready for when the big money rolls
around."
The BHR team is currently undecided about the upcoming weekend plans.
However, they are leaning towards attending the $2,000 to win show on
Saturday night, May 12 at the K-C Raceway in Chillicothe, Ohio. For more
