Here At The Races
The cars are lined up and ready to go
It’s just about time to start the show
They’re on the track & everyone’s in place
The green is out and they begin to race
They slide to turn three, then soon to four
As the car in first is second no more
And look at that driver way in the back!
His car is good and sticking to the track
The caution is out & they all slow down
One got into another and spun him around!
They go to the back & the race goes on
Cars nose to tail & they’re once again gone!
The excitement builds as they dash into one
All drivers racing to be second to none
The race is now over as they cross the line
The guy from way back wins his third time!
It was a great race & the cautions were few
Another good night for drivers, fans, and crews
Week after week, we listen to their engines roar
The dust and the dirt, are what we live for!
Views are shared with old timers and new faces
Just another night, here at the races!
