this would be exciting to see, Madoc Speedway is having a Chain Race. These are the rules.

2005 Chain Race Rules

1. There will be 2 cars chained together. NO Trucks or Convertibles.
2. All pulling cars must have master cylinder removed from firewall.
3. Back car must have motor but with driveshaft removed.
4. Both cars must run DOT tires.
5. All glass must be removed.
6. All doors must be welded or chained shut.
7. All cars must have seatbelts with shoulder harnesses. (Factory or Custom)
8. Cars will be chained together no more than 8’ apart. CANNOT HOOK TO BUMBER! No pipes on chains.
9. NO RACECARS MAY BE USED IN CHAIN RACE!!!
10. Minimum wheel base 101”
11. All driver must be 16 years of age or older.
12. All drivers must wear approved helmet.
13. Modoc Speedway reserves the right to add or change any rule for competitive or safety reasons at any give time.
14. All chain race cars must be pre approved & registered by Modoc Speedway prior to going on track.

I have seen the chain races back when they used to have them at Dixie/Rome alot.Believe me they are FUN!!

Modoc Speedway

Modoc Speedway is located just 20 min from Evans, Ga! It is 1 Mile South of Parkesville, SC and 1 Mile North of Modoc, SC off Hwy 28/221. Turn East on Williams-Long Rd, then right on Washington School Rd. Track 1/4 Mile on Left.


This Friday Night (aug. 26th) We Will Have A Demolition Derby And A Chain Race. Demolition Derby Will Be Paying $1000 And Chain Race Paying $500. WE WILL HAVE THE FIRST EVER MODOC FEAR FACTOR WHERE THE CONTESTANTS WILL HAVE TO EAT SOMETHING REALLY DISGUSTSING AND DO SOMETHING CHALLENGING. We Will Also Have A Lot Of Side By SidE Racing Action With The Hobby, Super Street, Stock V8, Stock 4 And Extreme 4. Regular Gate Fees

I think they are supposed to be at Penton, but it is on a Sat. night.

The chain race was cancelled at Penton the Guy that ran the races was hurt in a car wreck a few days ago. He may be reshc. it for next year but have not heard anything so far.
