Southern All Stars East Racing Series Releases Working 2007 Schedule
Clinton, TN – Officials of the Southern All Stars East Racing Series today announced the release of their 2007 working schedule. The current edition boasts fifteen dates at eight facilities throughout the Carolinas and Georgia. After a very successful early season event at Golden Isles Speedway, the third year series looks toward 2007 with much anticipation.
“We think this will be the best season yet.” said series co-owner Lennie Buff. “We have worked with the O’Reilly Southern All Stars guys to get our schedule set where most of the SAS-East events will be officiated by those same guys. That should really help us with consistency and credibility. Ritchie is doing a good job with managing the series and growing it. And we want it to get bigger and better.”
Series Manager Ritchie Lewis comments “This year we have some exciting things happening including events featuring twin features and our $10,000 to win regular season finale. And we are still working on adding a few more dates. We hope to end up with eighteen to twenty dates. You know, we still have some promoters working on their track schedules and finalizing their dates, so we will be updating the schedule as we add the dates.”
“My guys and I are excited to be a part of the SAS-East team this year. We have been able to help out some in the past but the schedules have facilitated us being at most of the events for both series this year. Lennie and Ritchie have worked hard to make this a successful series for the guys in the Carolinas and Georgia and I feel like we can help them continue with that mission and give a quality product to the fans, drivers and promoters.” commented OSAS Series Director Kelley Carlton.
The series will once again anchor itself at the newly reconfigured Cherokee Speedway in Gaffney, SC. The series also will visit Dublin Speedway (NC), Swainsboro Raceway (GA) and Screven Motor Speedway (GA). The series also returns to old haunts in Thunder Valley Speedway (NC), Laurens County Speedway (SC), Lavonia Speedway (GA), Toccoa Speedway (GA) and Golden Isles Speedway (GA).
