Nearly 600 were at the Swainsboro Raceway Banquet at the Jaycee
Fairgrounds, enjoying a low country boil catered by a track sponsor,
Love’s Seafood.
The points champions in all five divisons were presented 6-ft.
trophies, replica checks, championship rings, Hoosier Jackets, prizes
compliments of Coleman Sales of Vidalia, and monetary prizes.
The 2006 Points Champions are:
Driggers Concrete Road Warrior: Jared Peebles
Love's Seafood Mini Stock: Chris Wilkerson
Daniels Chevrolet Pure Stock: Jason Floyd
Sunoco Super Street: Willis McKenzie
Budweiser Sportsman: Marc Collins
Benjie Donaldson was honored as 2006 Sportsman of the Year. The
Ogeechee River Band ended the night with some outstanding music.
At the season-ending Turkey 100, Bob Robertson won the late model
div., and Henry Carter won the crate div.
